Here is Fischer SEM’s “Big Picture” Strategic Approach to setting up a PPC campaign.
1. We learn about your business.
During our kickoff call, our goal is to learn as much about your business and your business goals as possible. Since we are also a small business, we want to hear your story. How did you get into your business? What are some marketing related challenges that you had to face in the past? How did you overcome these challenges? What are some marketing related challenges that you are facing today? What are your revenue and CPA (Cost Per Acquisition) goals? Be prepared to answer a variety of questions like these.
We will also want to get granular about your products or services. Since we are very focused on ROI, we will start with the products or services that bring in the largest margins and then work from there – scaling your PPC campaign as we help you grow your business.
2. Personas
We have a full blog post on Personas where you can learn all about them here: Personas and PPC Campaigns. After our kick off call, you will receive our Persona Worksheet. We will ask you to fill out this worksheet for 3 to 5 Personas.
3. Campaign – Draft 1
Based on your goals, products/services and personas, we will create the initial campaign structure. This structure is based on The Consumer Funnel and your Personas. We offer an entire blog post series about The Consumer Funnel as well as a Free eBook here: How to Spend Less and Make More with Your PPC Campaigns. Our goal is to structure your campaign based on The Consumer Funnel and reach your potential customers as cost effective as possible at each part of The Consumer Funnel. We do this by defining the types of campaigns that we will use on each PPC platform that we will be advertising on.
4. Campaign – Final Draft
Once we get your approval on the keywords, audiences and types of campaigns that we will be creating, we will provide the ad copy that we will use for your approval as well.
5. The Launch and Management
Once we launch your campaigns, we will monitor them and optimize them in order to get you the highest ROI possible.
